Welcome to Mountaineer Getaway! You're sure to enjoy everything this welcoming family home has to offer - including spectacular long range mountain views! 

The cabin is well laid out for a large group or multiple families. The main level offers a living room with a TV equipped with streaming apps, with a fully equipped kitchen just a few steps away. Downstairs is a den with arcade cabinet and seating area, and both the main and lower levels have covered decks overlooking the beautiful rolling views. Enjoy cooking out on the grill on the Traeger smoker! 

Bedroom Arrangements: 
Main Level: Queen bedroom with ensuite bath 
Upper Level: Bedroom with full bed & trundle and bedroom with full bed & two twin beds, shared hallway bath 
Lower Level: Bedroom with full bed & trundle and bedroom with Queen bed, shared hallway bath 

Whether you're coming to the High Country for an App State football game, one of our great local festivals, to escape the heat, or just for a fun weekend away, Mountaineer Getaway is the right place for you. Located in western Watauga County, the "peaceful side" of the mountain, you'll have a peaceful retreat waiting for you at the end of a fun day exploring these mountains! 

Additional Notes:
-This home is not pet friendly. Thank you for not bringing pets into this home or requesting an exception.  
-Check-in is after 4pm and Check-out is by 10am. 
-This is a gravel driveway with capacity for 4 vehicles. 4WD or AWD is required during winter months November-March and chains may be neccessary in inclement weather, and low-riding vehicles are not recommended to access this home. 
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two.
- Towels and linens will be provided for you.
- The owner of this home uses exterior security cameras to monitor the property and ensure it remains safe. No cameras are aimed at the doors/windows and there are none indoors. 
-Repeat guests of Mountaineer Getaway will receive a 10% discount for visiting again!
