We loved our stay at Knot Appropriate! It was the perfect Fall weekend and the view was amazing. The house was next to the golf course which had paved paths perfect for walking. It was a few miles away from town with restaurants, etc. The house was well stocked with kitchen items for cooking, clean towels and extra blankets, and extras such as toiletries and cleaning supplies. The space was very roomy with 2 large rooms and bathroom downstairs and a large bedroom and bathroom upstairs. It was a little too chilly to sit on the deck, so I would love to visit again in late spring or early summer to take advantage of the outdoor space.

This home is BEAUTIFUL! Pictures do not even do it justice! We stayed for a 3 day weekend and got to do some really great hikes up Grandfather Mountain (about 45 min drive), but there are other trails nearby too that the hosts list in their binder! We were just looking for an extra long and difficult one! So great for the dogs as there is a lot of space to walk them. I recommend visiting the nearby town, Banner Elk! Its super cute! Overall, great hosts, clean and gorgeous home and fantastic views!

We were only able to stay a couple nights but it felt longer. The house was cleaner than any rental I recall in the last several years. All the furniture was very comfortable, the hot water was hot, and the surrounding neighborhood was really nice. Very peaceful. Saw just a ridiculous number of deer including bucks. The view from the deck was far better than I expected. Sunrise was gorgeous. I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

My family had a great get together weeknight staying at Knot Appropriate and skiing at Beech Mountain. And unexpected and amazing beautiful surprise were the Mountain View from the large windows and deck of the house . House comfy and clean ….We would definitely go back!

We had a absolutely wonderful time during our stay! Location was perfect, kids enjoyed having a great area to play in the snow. Views were beautiful and house set up was perfect for our family and in-laws. Wonderful vacation!!

We decided to ski for Christmas this year and while I've never booked a Vrbo before, I was willing to take the risk — and boy, am I glad I did! We had the whole family with us plus the dog! The house was exactly as we'd hoped (close to the slopes, comfortable, plenty of amenities) and even had more “comforts of home” than we'd expected. The view off the back porch was beautiful, especially when the sun rose in the early AM. The kitchen was pretty well-stocked and plenty of previous guests had left some items that were useful! We also reciprocated and left some (hopefully) useful items for others. Despite the fact that the house was “pet friendly”, you never would have known that pets had stayed there previously. It was very clean, didn't have any pet aromas, and was perfect for our family getaway. The wood burning stove helped keep things nice and cozy and having the wood delivered ahead of time was a fabulous option. I would definitely stay there again! Thank you for helping make our Christmas celebration as wonderful as it was.

We had a fantastic experience at this cabin! It was the perfect layout for our family of parents/teens. The kids were able to use the downstairs bedrooms as their hangout space to get a little breathing room from the adults and then we had a wonderful time in the great room all together playing games and doing puzzles. We got lucky and 7" of snow found us while we were there! We weren't sure what to expect in the way of roads being cleared, etc, but they were well cleared within a day. In the meantime, the rental agency was awesome for information and helping us book an extra night to stay a little longer to enjoy all of the snow. The cabin had everything we needed...the kitchen was well equipped. Hint: Hop online and order groceries and supplies in advance at the Lowe's foods in Banner Elk. You can have it ready for pickup as you arrive and swing through to let them load it into your car before you head up the mountain. It made life SO easy! Definitely a lovely property with a gorgeous view and we'd be thrilled to stay again!

A wonderful cozy mountain cabin with wonderful view from the living area. Great deck to enjoy the views and deer watching. Great location on Beech Mountain close to the skiing and downtown area.

Last minute decision to go away! We had a lovely time. Place was great! The wildlife was magical. We will be back!
