Goshen Creek

I chose this cabin specifically to celebrate my mother’s birthday, just one week to the day before the WNC floods. She was just awe struck the whole weekend and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Nestled beside a tranquil brook, this cozy cabin is the perfect retreat for those looking to unplug and unwind… or use as a home base as you see all the sights around it! Surrounded by lush greenery, it offers a serene escape with the soothing sound of running water that beckons you to relax. It has two patios overlooking the beautiful river below so you can sit and enjoy. The cabin's rustic charm is complemented by modern amenities, making it a seamless blend of comfort and nature. This hidden gem is a sanctuary of peace! The only con I can imagine is the master bathroom is very petite, but there is a second, larger bathroom.

Spacious little cabin with a gorgeous view of the rushing creek. Spent every morning with coffee next to the water, so peaceful. Left the bedroom windows open to hear the water all night. Quiet little neighborhood of cabins, barely noticed anyone else. Two minutes from Tweetsie where we took our kids! We will be back!

My wife and I definitely enjoyed celebrating our anniversary at Goshen Creek. The place is a world of its own, so quaint, so peaceful and calm, with no city noises. Yet you're only a few minutes from town. The only noises we heard were birds chirping and Mother Nature's beautiful sounds in the creek out back. We were glad to have the deck off the bedroom and the patio off the dining room to absorb the natural beauty of the creek. We saw a "Hellbender" salamander cross the creek several times. The cabin is nicely arranged with good views of the creek everywhere. We LOVED it and hope to go there again.

Easy check-in. Property is as described in listing. Good communication. Location is great - just 10 minutes from a variety of shopping, dining, groceries in Boone. Good place for a couple to get away; it's on a quiet private street.

Took my teens for a weekend in the mountains. Gentle snow the whole time we were there. The house was a comfortable place for us to play games, build puzzles and take walks in the snow. Enjoyed our stay!

We had a wonderful stay. It was very relaxing and sound of the stream was very peaceful. The beds were very comfortable. The location was awesome and close to everything Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and West Jefferson. My favorite part was drinking coffee sitting on deck listening to the stream.

We enjoyed our stay at Goshen Creek cottage. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. We loved the rushing creek in the back. It was very relaxing and peaceful. The cottage is in a great location between Boone and Blowing Rock. We enjoyed several great restaurants, live music and local wineries.

We loved this sweet home! So comfy and in the most beautiful location. Right on the creek, it is so relaxing to sit a listen to the water. Perfect spot with easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Boone, App State, and Blowing Rock. While there, we already started looking at booking another trip to stay here!

A wonderful little cabin on a small stream 4 miles from downtown Boone. You can tell that it was recently renovated as everything was in perfect shape. No issues whatsoever and I plan on staying again at some point.

Stayed in Bamboo neighborhood - Goshen Creek for four nights. Super relaxing. Listening to the creek, while on a balcony of a master bedroom was geat. Good kitchen. Tweetsie Park is about 10 minutes to drive. Great for kids. The bed of the master bedroom was comfortable.

Sleep to the sound of the roaring Goshen Creek that runs under the deck of this house! We slept longer than we'd slept in many years to the sound of that creek. This house is a country mountain sweetheart of a place perfect for up to 4 people. It looks as if it has been recently updated and decorated; all very tasteful and fun. About a 5-10 minute drive into town and we had no trouble getting pizza delivery. We are from Michigan and we just felt like this was the perfect mountain getaway in Boone. 2 full bathrooms but no bathtub. The hosts left us a nice gift when we arrived. We would come back for sure.

This property perfectly fit our needs for our stay in Boone. We asked to stay an additional night! We liked the open floor plan and comfort. We enjoyed watching shows/news on the flat large screen TV. I loved the stackable washer and dryer near the front door in the utility closet. Both units ran quietly. The kitchen is well stocked with kitchen utensils and is designed for easy access to all up-to-date appliances. The dining room table sat four of us very comfortably. A patio is accessible from the dining room. The master bedroom has a very comfortable king size mattress, bathroom, plenty of closet space, TV, and a walkout balcony. A gentle flowing stream of water in a creek behind the house makes anytime of the day refreshing either on the patio or the balcony. The second bedroom has a full size mattress, and plenty of closet space. The second bathroom is across the living room. But that was not a problem for us. Both bathrooms have ample shelving and complimentary bath towels hand towels and face cloths. Two per bathroom. As a general rule, we brought a few of our own towels, clothes hangers, laundry soap, cooking spices, etc. What we didn't bring we made a trip to a nearby Walmart. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The cabin was clean and cozy. The flowing steam right outside the door was beautiful and relaxing. My two young children loved playing outside in the snow and the location was convenient to Boone and Blow Rock.

We were looking for a weekend kid-free getaway and that is exactly what we experienced! We were lucky enough to have snow (but not so much that it made it difficult to get there) and we enjoyed a quiet, peaceful weekend in this cozy cabin. The creek along the back of the property is gorgeous! Outside temps were very cold while we were there but the heat in the cabin worked extremely well. We were afraid we might get cold but we stayed warm and cozy the whole time. We had a wonderful weekend escape here!

Perfect little holiday vacation cabin for me and my husband. Centrally located near all our favorite spots. Only 8 min from downtown Boone. Had all the amenities with a beautiful little creek running right outside the back door. Very clean and cozy cabin in quiet pleasant holiday hills.

It was by far the best cozy cabin we have stayed in. It was just right for my husband and I. We did not want to leave. We usually can’t wait to get back to our bed but these beds were so comfy. The little stream that runs behind was awesome. We usually have one thing we don’t like about somewhere we stay but here was the best with no problems. We will be back for sure.

Great location in a quiet neighborhood. The pretty stream provides soothing noises all day. Master bedroom has a balcony that hangs out over the stream. Interior is cozy, with comfortable furniture. TV is a Hulu model; appears not to be set up to receive local channels unless you have a paid-up Hulu account. Can stream Netflix.

Small, but just as advertised - perfect for a couple or young family. Lovely, peaceful location by a gurgling brook - we ate all our meals on the balcony overlooking the small waterfall. Great location between Boone and Blowing Rock, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. For us, it was a wonderful and relaxing get-away vacation.

The house was a perfect place for a relaxing get-away! It is nestled in a quiet neighborhood with the backyard directly on Goshen Creek. It was very cozy with comfortable chairs and a couch in the living room, large TV and ceiling fans. The bedrooms were nicely furnished and the kitchen well stocked with dishes, cookware and utensils. The patio has a gas grill and a table with chairs which we enjoyed immensely as we sat outside and ate our dinners. When it rained, we were still able to eat in the dining room, looking outside on the rushing brook. It is convenient to town for grocery shopping and also to the Blue Ridge Parkway for walking and hiking. We will definitely come back!

We needed a place to stay for parents weekend at App: we wanted more space than a hotel, but still wanted to be close to the campus. This was perfect. A cute little cabin 10 minutes from our kid's dorm (Summit Hall). It's in a little neighborhood by a creek, and was the perfect mix of close to town, but more space. One comment - there were no cutting boards in the cabin. I don't know if their used to be and they've gone missing, but we cooked on Friday night, and that made it challenging. Other than that, it was exactly what we were looking for for this stay.
