Flying Monkey Retreat, situated on a 5.75 acre estate gives guests a sense of privacy while perched atop Beech Mountain and the Land of Oz. Stunning views from the spacious back deck overlook the High Country - gorgeous any time of year!
A beautiful chef's kitchen awaits on the main level with granite counters, large island, a gas cooktop, and two Bosch dishwashers to make clean-up a breeze. Two steps up lead to the living room with a double sided gas fireplace, leather seating, TV, and access to the back deck. The other side of the fireplace opens to a cozy den. Two king suites are on the main level, plus a third room with two twin beds and private bathroom with a tub/shower combination.
Downstairs is a third living space featuring the 85" TV and seating that works for viewing or gathering for a board game. Three more sleeping areas are downstairs. A king bedroom with TV has private access to the shared bathroom. This bath has a tiled tub/shower and granite counters. It opens on the other side to the bedroom with two twin beds. Down the hall is a fun kids space with twin bed, trundle, and a TV, video games, and a large chalkboard wall for your little artists.
Guests have access to the garage, including a second fridge and a Tesla charger.
Sonos speakers throughout, AppleTV, and premium cable make this home ideal for those looking to relax and stay in. It's located next to the Emerald Outback Trail, making it a great choice for those ready to explore outside, or head 0.9 miles down the road to the 5506' Sky Bar.
- Guests of Flying Monkey Retreat have the option to purchase a temporary membership to Beech Mountain Club during their stay. Please inquire for details. Located just a short distance from the home is the Beach Mountain Club where guests can enjoy access to Private Restaurants, Championship Golf, Professional Tennis, and a heated pool to name just a few amenities.
- Flying Monkey Retreat has a refundable security deposit of $1000.
- This home is not pet friendly for rentals. Thank you for not bringing animals here.
- The main roads are paved and plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access the property in times of snow or ice. The drive is level and can accommodate guest of the home.
- Guests returning to the home may receive a discount of 10% to the rent, not to be combined with other discounts to the rent.

We stayed here with friends for our wedding weekend. We absolutely loved the house and didn't want to leave! The sonos system throughout the house was great and the sound system in the theatre room was nuts. Everything was as described and we would love to stay again.
