Deer View Lodge offers every comfort and lots of space both to gather together, or to enjoy quiet time. You’ll enjoy three levels, three covered decks for reconnecting with nature, six televisions with streaming apps, a game room with air hockey & shuffleboard, high-speed Internet, WiFi, and a six-person hot tub! 

The huge light-filled great room is the perfect gathering space, featuring multiple seating areas, wood floors, soaring ceilings, a 25-foot stone woodburning fireplace, a 50” flat-screen HDTV, plus VCR, DVD, and theater surround sound, and a powder room!

The recently remodeled, fully equipped kitchen is perfect for the chef in your group. You’ll find it well equipped with all the tools you need to prepare for everything from a midnight snack to a huge holiday feast. The spacious kitchen and dining room offer stone gas log fireplace as well as combined seating for 16. That’s 8 at the dining table, 4 at the kitchen island, and 4 more at the breakfast table.

The main floor master suite has a king-sized bed, ceiling fan, TV, and a large full bathroom with double granite vanities and a tiled shower. Upstairs, the family suite has two rooms, one with a King-sized bed and full bath, and a second bedroom with 2 twins plus a youth bed (toys included!) Also on this level is a small reading nook with cozy chair and a lamp. The lower level has a large king suite with a sitting room and smart TV and a private bath with tiled shower, plus another bedroom with a queen bed and adjoining hall bath with tub/shower.

Between the downstairs bedrooms, you’ll a large game room has air hockey, shuffleboard, darts, bar sink/small fridge plus a gas heater to warm things up! There’s another sitting room on this level, a great spot to get away with a good book and a glass of lemonade. The utility room with a full-sized washer and dryer is also located on this level.

Both the main level and lower level have multiple access points to the three wonderful covered decks running the length of the house. On the lower level, step out and enjoy the six-person hot tub, swing, and additional seating overlooking the forested setting. The main level has both a covered front porch and back porch as well as an open deck off the great room. Enjoy covered dining outdoors and preparing your meal on the top-notch stainless propane grill. Take your pick of rocking chairs, swing, dining table or chairs and, if need be, turn on the outdoor propane heater.

Don’t forget to bring your four-legged family members! The cabin is dog pet friendly with steps on the lower level to access a good-sized fenced dog run. Only minutes from either Blowing Rock or Boone, the setting is private yet within a friendly mountain subdivision. Guests with electric vehicles will enjoy the convenience of being able to charge right off the main level porch, too. There’s no better choice for an amazing vacation than Deer View Lodge!

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Firewood for the woodburning fireplace is not provided at the house, but may be added by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night.
- AWD/4WD and/or chains recommended during winter. Access is paved up until the last half mile of a gentle gravel road, and four-wheel drive is necessary for winter weather access.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. All linens and towels are provided.
