For those seeking a true luxury getaway, we welcome you to Copperleaf.  Designed by one of America’s most famous architects, Charles Wayne Ferrell, M.A.A., RA., NCARB, and interior decorator, Karina Ferrell, of ARCHITECT1.COM,  who have appeared on HGTV dozens of times, Deco Drive TV, Miami, Channel 13, Tampa, FL, and in countless magazines and newspapers around the country, the Caribbean and internationally. This home is stunning.  And for those who plan to enjoy the convenience of the helipads in Eagles Nest, you will land a short walk away from the home!

 

This multi-million dollar custom home sleeps up to 21, and has been well appointed, with the finest furnishings and accessories, including Ralph Lauren, Restoration Hardware, Baker, Henredon, Ethan Allen, Hemingway, Tommy Bahama, Robb & Stuckey, Le Jardin, all teak patio furniture, Lalique, Banner cabinets, plus custom hand-built pieces, carefully selected antiques, including 100 to 150 year old antique oriental rugs, paintings, tapestries and furniture, Grandfather and Coo-Coo clocks, and many special pieces.  Just a few of the finishes that make this such a spectacular home are the intricate truss style “Grand Hall Great Room”, and finishes that include granite, marble, onyx, alabaster, teak, burled birch, antique barn wood, heart pine, black walnut, poplar bark, cherry bark, alder, cherry wood, and Rhododendron branch railings and accents, to compliment the home's 5000 enclosed square feet, plus an additional 2000 square feet of balcony and decks. The open “Grand Hall Great Room” has so much to take in, from the amazing views of the natural surroundings like Beech and other mountain ranges of North Carolina and Tennessee, easily enjoyed through the ultra-large glass walls that soar from floor to 25 foot high trussed ceilings - as does the grand stone fireplace, with a petrified log lintel and unique feature wall of hand-woven rhododendron that rises through all three levels. Relax and take in the beauty and tranquility, on the twelve-foot leather sofa from Restoration Hardware, or enjoy the big game on the large flat screen television.  The gourmet kitchen includes custom knotty cherry cabinets, by the finest cabinet shop in the region, Banner Cabinets (whose family gave the town of Banner Elk her name), granite countertops, plus 36 cubic feet of separate stainless refrigerator and freezer, oversized stainless farm sink, stainless Dacor 48” dual-fuel double gas range - with griddle, separate third convection oven/microwave, Kitchen-aid “flip-up” mixer, warming drawer, and other stainless appliances.  Hand-scraped birch floors add natural beauty to the entire main level.  The hand-scraped, live-edge teak dining table and oak bar will seat up to twelve comfortably, with custom teak benches and upholstered chairs, with seating for four more available at the bar as well.

 

The floor plan of this Eagles Nest luxury vacation home has been well thought out - with 6 sleeping rooms and 6 full baths (two of which are split baths for double duty).  On the main level is, “the Black-Lacquer Master Suite” with Robb & Stucky, king bed and armoire, private bath with oversized jetted tub, that also features a waterfall rain shower and floating granite counters with green leaf glass sink vessels “the Green-Leaf Bath”.  The adjoining Restoration Hardware Russian Oak Library (with grand leather-bound book collection) has both a workspace, as well as, a Tommy Bahama twin daybed, with trundle twin, perfect for those with young children, who prefer to stay close.  The second bedroom (“the Cherry Room”) on this level has lovely cherry furniture, Ethan Allen cherry end tables and armoire, with TV, antique oriental rugs and comfortable pillow-top Baker cherry queen bed.  Just beside it is the next full bath, (“the Onyx bath”), with two hand-made under-lighted translucent onyx vessel sinks on onyx counters, plus a jetted tub, with rain shower.  This bathroom also has a door leading out to the deck - perfect for those coming in from the hot tub, a good hike, or just the kids after an adventure in the woods.   Also located on this level is a second queen bedroom (“the Wenge room”).  Another full bath “the Rainforest bath” adjacent, with tub/shower combo and laundry.

 

Upstairs, two more master bedroom lofts await, with even better mountain views, separated by the breathtaking suspended branch-railed walkway.  To the left, find loft master bedroom 1, with Tommy Bahama king bed and end table and armoire, with sitting room and television and antique oriental rugs.  Across the walkway is another loft master bedroom 2, also with Hemmingway woven wicker king bed antique oriental rug plus cowhide rug.  Both of these rooms feature custom windows that allow extra light, and a view of the amazing timber construction details and mountain views. On the lower level there is a queen size sofa sleeper in the family room area with another fireplace and finally the 6th bedroom, or “the Bunkroom” with two Full over Full bunk beds, with the 3rd fireplace.

 

As much as guests enjoy the interior of Copperleaf, the outdoor area is a huge draw for everyone.  The large covered balcony deck full of teak furniture on the front of the home is the perfect spot to relax, rejuvenate, and find inspiration, with a lovely natural view to take in the plentiful wildlife that abounds within Eagles Nest.  After a summer shower, enjoy the sounds of the nearby creek, head off on a hike in the woods, or enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot tub. The teak outdoor dining table seats at least ten, and the Komodo "Egg" smoker/charcoal grills is perfect for grilling up the trout you caught that day. Finish a perfect day with family fireside fun under the stars around the natural stone firepit, at the campfire terrace or on a chilly evening, take advantage of the three new outdoor dramatic torch-style deck heaters, that shows a three foot tall flame, easily seen from far away plus the balcony gas fire pit, on this main balcony, in the cool, summer or winter evenings.

 

For indoor fun, the lower level of the home features a pro pool table. A pro ping pong table is set up in the adjoining “Ping Pong room” to the left, including a nice seating area to enjoy the game and a “Foosball room” to the right on the way to the home theater.  Overall, this home provides seven smart TVs:  the most amazing of which is the 82” HOME THEATER 4K TV, 55" 4K TV in the “Grand Hall Great Room” above the fireplace, 50" TV in upstairs “loft-master bedroom 1” and 42"TV in the other upstairs “loft-master bedroom”, plus a 42" TV in the “Black-Laquer Master Bedroom”, on the main level and the queen bedroom on this level. The brand new Home Theater & Media Room is now available just past the Billiard/Game/Family rooms, with theater seating for 7-10 people. Find the 2nd fireplace in the Billiard/Game/Family room, with a beautiful thousands of years old petrified log lintel, which provides a great atmosphere and extra warmth!

 

This luxury vacation rental is located in the exclusive, private gated community of Eagle's Nest, on Snow Mountain, truly one of the most beautiful nature preserve-style community settings available at elevations of over 5500 feet.  A new connector road to Beech Mountain for ultra-quick ski resort access is now complete, the highest ski resort in North America, east of the Mississippi. It is an easy hike over to the 20+ acre North Pavilion which includes outdoor areas for soccer, tennis and basketball courts (you will need to bring your own equipment).  Don't forget about the ATV trails, mountain bike and hiking trails.

Please note all visitors on premise at winery must be 16 years or older.  This is strictly enforced. 

 

Guests do not have access to the locked off portion of the Sportsman’s Lodge, the Fitness Center, or the Wine & Cigar Bar. That is for member use only.

 

Please note that this property absolutely does not permit pets anywhere in or on the premises at any time including outdoor spaces. Bona fide service animals with appropriate certification may be permitted, and the presence of a certified service animal must be disclosed prior to check-in. Misrepresenting a pet as a certified service animal is a crime under North Carolina law. Guests who bring a pet to a no-pet home will be subject to a non-refundable $500 extra cleaning fee to remove pet hair and dander and clean carpets and upholstery.

If any pets are discovered during your tenancy including via security camera or observation of neighbors or BRMR staff, your credit card on file will be charged for the above-mentioned fee, and you will be evicted without refund of unused days.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
- EVENTS OF ANY KIND ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED AT COPPERLEAF. Weddings, reunions, catering, etc are all absolutely forbidden. No exceptions will be made - do not ask.
- This owner uses 6 exterior security cameras pointed at the driveway to monitor all exterior angles of their home and ensure it remains safe. No cameras are aimed at the hot tub or inside of the home. 
- The garage is not available for guest use.
- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night. 

- Copperleaf has convenient paved access all the way to the driveway. NO MORE THAN 4 CARS ALLOWED AT ALL TIMES. ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING IN THE STREET.

- The main roads are plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months. 

-  All stays at Eagles Nest homes have an additional amenity fee in order to maintain the luxurious facilities and features in the development.

- Eagles Nest is an up and coming community, with construction currently going on in several of its neighborhoods. Construction noises may be heard 7am-7pm Monday through Saturday.

- Guests are not allowed to bring their own ATV's. For information about ATV rentals please visit: offroadadventuresnc.com

- Guests are responsible for supplying their own recreational equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tennis equipment etc.)

- The summer concerts are open to all guests however there may be an admission fee for each person and cash bar for food and drinks.
- Please note that all Eagles Nest homes have internet, but some areas of travel may not have cell reception.

- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.

- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
-This home is not pet friendly. Thank you for not bringing pets into this home.
-CANCELLATION POLICY: Bookings canceled within 24 hours of their creation will receive a full refund of payments. Bookings canceled more than 24 hours after their creation are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
