Chetola: Cardinal 101

We came with our 3 kids to enjoy the long MLK weekend and had a blast. We were blessed with lots of snow and enjoyed sledding behind the condo. Definitely one of our favorite rentals we've stayed in at Chetola! The staff and amenities by Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals was great!

There is always something new to discover in these mountains even for someone who practically few up here in a family full of App State grads! We loved staying here for an extended weekend to celebrate yet another App State Graduation weekend. Probably the last one for a while as she's now a Masters, so the next time we stay (which will probably be later this summer!) will purely be for fun. We enjoyed our slow mornings over a cup of coffee on the patio as the mountains wake up around us. Also took an extended evening stroll on the trails over to Bass Lake and around the Cone Manor estates. Until next time, High Country!

BRMR was so easy to work with. Communication was fantastic, and the condo we rented was awesome! It had everything you might need, and most importantly, it was clean! The gas fireplace was very nice, the bathrooms were very large and so were the bedrooms. Just a cute, cozy experience at Chetola. The grounds were beautiful and the restaurant on site was awesome. We did not have one bad meal and the service was excellent. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Another delightful stay in the peaceful haven of Cardinal 101. We have stayed here in years past and the renovations by the new(er) owners are so thoughtful and welcoming. We loved our stay at Cardinal 101! The place was spotlessly clean when we arrived, and anything we could have needed was provided. The kitchen has every appliance and type of cooking equipment you would want. The condo is totally up-to-date, yet it's very comfortable and welcoming, and the beds are comfy. The holiday decorations were a pleasant surprise! There was a record-breaking cold snap while we were there and Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals was very responsive in helping us deal with a weather-related power outage. My husband and I rented this place for the weekend for my daughters 4th birthday. We wanted to take her to Tweetsie for the first time (it was only a 10 minute drive). Our stay was wonderful. Chetola resort is beautiful! Our rental was so clean, gorgeous, VERY well taken care of, restaurant in the resort (very convenient), my girls loved feeding the swans bread at the big pond, etc. It was the perfect weekend getaway at the perfect condo! We will definitely be staying there again!! HIGHLY recommend!!!!!

We have been coming to Chetola for 20 years iwth our children when they were young. And now, this trip was just my husband and myself. We come up to view a wedding venue for our son and check out some of the breweries and the restaurant, The Peddlin Pig, in which we will have the rehearsal dinner catered by. The condo had everything you needed for a family staying there. We loved having a washer and dryer, TVs in both bedrooms. It was a 2 minute ride to downtown Blowing Rock and could have even walked if it there wasn't snow and ice on the sidewalk outside of the Chetola Resort. Chetola did a great job at keeping the roads clear to access our place.

Even though our three-month stay was overshadowed with Covid-19 , we enjoyed our time here at Chetola. We were especially pleased upon discovering the easy access to the trails and Bass Lake - so we spent a lot of time walking. Upon arrival, we found that the property managers had done an excellent job. The unit was very clean and well-stocked. They were also very helpful in tending to any small problems that popped up. This was our first experience renting for such an extended period; so, we thank you for sharing your place with us.

Cardinal 101 is a great place to stay while visiting Blowing Rock. We enjoyed how quite and well appointed the condo is. We enjoyed being close to the Appalachian Mountain Ski.

We have rented property locally for over 30 years as App Ski Mountain ski patrol volunteers. During this time frame, we decided on Chetola for its well known festive decorations around the pond, and this unit due to its recent upgrades! To the owners - well done and well supplied! My only complaint is that we didn't stay longer!! We are two older couples enjoying a quick weekend getaway and this property was perfect for us. The condo is more spacious than most and the furnishings were not only attractive, but also very comfortable. Chetola is a lovely, friendly resort that is conveniently located close to the town center. Check in/out was a breeze. We very much enjoyed our stay and definitely will come back.

This property was equipped like you were visiting someone's home. Furniture, rugs, flooring and accessories were beautiful. Kitchen was small but nicely equipped. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious as well as closets. Good TVs. I would highly recommend. We love Chetola and all of the amenities in the community!

Blue Ridge did an excellent job communicating information about our trip to Chetola. I received a personal phone call from a very pleasant and well spoken member of Blue Ridge who called after my reservation to see if I had any questions. Which I did. This is not typical and very much appreciated from this group. I also was sent helpful reminders prior to our departure about activities in the area we would be visiting. The property was as pictured and was decorated nicely, had several upgrades and was clean. Housekeeping found my husbands wireless headphones and turned them in to the office. The office is shipping them to us as I'm typing. It is so nice find a company with honest and caring people. We will be back.

We stay at Chetola every year. This was our first time staying at your property, and we had a lovely time. The condo was clean and updated/new/stylish. We have 7 year old twins (you may have found a fruit loop or two on the floor), and they LOVED having their own room and patio. Perfect location to play tennis. They kayaked and fished at least once a day too. They even visited Max and Rosie (the names they assigned the swans years ago) and were delighted to meet the newest members of the swan family. We had a great stay in this house and specially enjoyed the very well equipped kitchen. Cooking was a pleasure! The rental met all our needs, except easy parking on the front door level. We would have liked to know this in advance and perhaps rented a unit on the second or third floor. For older folks with weak knees and heavy bags, etc. it was a challenge. We were also sorry to see that all the large trees outside the unit had been cut down. Other than that, all was good! Many thanks! The Ackermans

This was my first time at Chetola Cardinal 101 and it is now my favorite place to stay in WNC! The condo has been impeccably updated, with stylish decor and a cozy gas fireplace. Coming from the beach of SC to the cool and beautiful Blowing Rock, NC is always a treat. The condo was recently remodeled and beautifully done. We have stayed at Chetola many times over the last 15 years and enjoy a great location, good amenities and this condo was perfect for us. With allergies always a problem, the tiled and non-carpet floors were greatly appreciated. The kitchen was supplied better than most rentals and we both enjoying cooking, even when not at home. Would certainly request this unit again.

While an earlier review for this home was negative, we read the description discussing the recent renovation and decided to give this rental a chance and boy, are we glad we did! The remodel is superbly done and the condo is very tastefully decorated. Amenities abound with comfortable beds, fireplace, super-fast wifi, washer/dryer, full kitchen, nice resort views and more. All of the finishes were high quality and Chetola Resort is super convenient to all the attractions around Blowing Rock. We have come to Blowing Rock every year for many years now and this is our favorite stay. We really want to thank the owners for creating such a nice little haven and for sharing it with our family. 5 Stars!
