We had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful! We came because my daughter turned 16 on the 15th of June and wanted to come to the mountains for her birthday. I am a single mom but my brother and his family came with us and we all had an amazing time. We went hiking, fishing, shopping and to the gem mine. The campfire was nice and the kitchen is very well stocked. This trip was a real blessing for my family. We made a lot of great memories! We saw deer, a lot of chipmunks, squirrels and one opossum. LOL. Oh, two humming birds came up to me on the deck so I bought a small feeder for them and hung it downstairs on the deck. Hope to come back soon. Thank you and God Bless You! - Cathey G. & Family, Spring 2013

This cabin was such a wonderful home to stay in for the week that we were here on vacation. The three levels of this house is amazing, I'm not sure which level we liked the most but I must warn you that this pool table is very addicting. Our family has been playing this pool table since we walked into this cabin. This house has an amazing home-feeling to it. We enjoyed cooking breakfast and eating it on the picnic bench, cooking on the grill for dinner and resting in the hot tub after a long day of site-seeing around the mountains. There is nothing negative that we have to say about our stay here in this cabin. Make sure you visit the Grandfather Mountains its very mind blowing and the most beautiful thing my family has ever seen. Also the Mast General Store was a great visit, it has lots of goodies to take home or enjoy here in the mountains. We also went to the river stream right across the street but be careful its beyond beautiful but the river snakes scared my family away. Make sure you visit Makoto's. It's a Japanese steak and seafood restaurant. It's a tiny bit expensive but its well worth the price. Thank you for allowing us to stay here in this beautiful cabin as we highly enjoyed our vacation. We will be coming back soon for another family vacation. - The Washingtons, 5/27-6/3, 2013

We had a great time here with our 6 year old granddaughter. It was her first trip without her parents, and she had a blast. We all wish we could stay longer. (Of course, we spoiled her rotten) I hope we can find someone who wants 18lbs of rainbow trout. :) Tweetsie Railroad was her favorite. She really loved Foggy Mountain Gem Mine too. Her grandfather and her enjoyed making me nervous at Grandfather Mountain climbing on rocks. They walked down to the river every evening. The whole trip has been great. I hope we can get back here again soon. Thanks for sharing the cabin with us. - Teresa & Anthony G., February 2017

This was an amazing house to stay at! Everything was very clean and there's plenty of fun things to do in the area. The hosts responded very quickly when we had an issue with the hot tub and it was fixed within an hour. You'll enjoy yourself very much if you stay here!

Amazing venue for a family vacation! Many amenities. Plenty of room For the 9 of us. Great location! Close to Boone and Blowing Rock. Loved the fire pit and hot tub. Everything you could need to cook is supplied in this kitchen. Can't wait to go back in the winter!

Wonderful little weekend getaway! Close to Boone and Banner Elk. Enjoyed the use of the hot tub and game room. Close enough to civilization but far enough away from reality!
